These are the two Stack & Whack Quilts I finished this last weekend. I made them while we were in Az last winter. I really love doing these quilts.

For my DGS for Christmas

Beautiful! I have never done one of these! How do you get the triangles all to match? I know they are stacked, but how do you get them to match without moving?

You have 8 repeats, stack up matching designs, cut and when you open the 8 pieces you position and they should match, If you are lucky.

These are gorgeous. I tried one but it "fanned" out and the instructor about had a "stroke" (smile). Said she had never seen that happen before. My friend's, however, turned out beautiful.

Beautiful quilts Beth! Just curious do you happen to have a pic of the original fabrics before they were stacked and whacked?
Oops....I think I saw the original fabric for the first one in the border.
I have this on my to do list too.

Your stack n whack's are so much prettier than mine is. Yours are GORGEOUS!!! I love th butterfly fabric too. thanks so much for sharing!
