Default construction of my scrappy quilt

I had a few questions about the quilt and if I had a pattern, I did not have a pattern, just laying out the 2.5 inch scrap squares until I found a design I liked, sewing groups of 5 to 6 squares together and then laying them down, sewing sections together as I went along watching ahead that I had enough of that particular fabric to finish the diamonds. I accumilated all the fabrics after doing several batic quilts. when I am doing a project I go on a cut the scraps into either 10" 5" or 2.5" squares and put them in drawers for that particular size.. separating batiks from prints. when I became overrun with the batik 2.5" peices, I decided it was time to do somethine with them, I did use the same brown small print fabric through out the quilt to separate the diamonds. here are a few pics of the progress of the quilt.

It truly is beautiful! Are you going to enter it in the River Heritage Quilt Show in Cape Girardeau in September? I think you should!

Love your quilt! It really came out nice. The wrought iron design shows up so nicely in the dark border too . Is it a panto that you used ?
