Okay. Got more of this top pieced. Have a hole in upper rt...thinking of putting a pinwheel in there, and Pinwheels to top and bottom for added length. What do you guys think?

I think that would look good. Personally, I would add the green fabric and put two arrows pointing downward to make it look like a mirror image of the other arrows you have at the top pointing up. With that spot being small, a pin wheel might make it look to busy.

Adding the pinwheels to the bottom to make bigger would look great. I would do three small blocks of them.

Can't wait to see what you decide on. I am sure anything would look great! :)

This quilt is fabulous! How do you "fracture" it? I have a cheater panel that would be great for this technique.

I like the idea of including arrows going down to balance the ones you have going up. I've seen several pinwheel patterns. Without pictures, I'm having trouble visualizing it. Just saw a quilt show on tv where one of the tips was to print out colored pictures of what you wanted to think of using. Print to the size you would need. Cut and paste the paper images of the fabric and try the pattern out. Seems like it would be less cost and time that cutting and sewing fabric samples.
Can't wait to see pictures of what you decide on.

Yes. I think the mirrored look is a great idea!

You have to have 4 identical prints, size divisible by 3". 1 panel, cut 1.5 inches off all 4 sides, 1 panel, cut off 1.5 inches off top and bottom, 1 panel, cut 1.5 inches off rt and lt sides. Align them all at top left corner and cut at 3 inch stripes, lt to rt and again top to bottom. Then lay them out, first stack of four....1,2 over 3,4. Repeat till all layed out...then stitch.

I think I'd also do arrows/flying geese in that space on the right, in the same fabrics as the ones on the left... either pointing up or down.

Really pretty, I like it!

I agree with Kristin, i'm just not seeing the pinwheels. I really like repeating the flying geese.
