Default Country Girl quilt designed by me

The block in this quilt has several different names Cabot's block, friendship Album, Sarah's Choice, I could go on and on but you get the idea. I wanted to design something simple and easy and this one fit the bill. Each block takes about 1/2 yd of print fabric. Even though there were no actual blocks to make, it was pieced in diagonal rows, each so called block measures about 28 inches across! With the design being so oversized and simple I wanted to keep the quilting simple also, giving it a country, modern, shabby girl feel. The fabrics blend together as if they were made for each other but they aren't. Some fabrics are over 30 yrs old, some about 20 yrs old and some are from Walmart before they decided to take fabric out of their stores, there's even one print that is a baby sheet. The only bad thing about this quilt is it was hard to photograph due to the pastels. I tried my best to get some good pictures, with no luck. So I did my best at enhancing them with editing. Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings and for taking a look at my new favorite quilt. I've slept under it the last two nights, makes me feel girly even though I'm no longer a little girl

That is sweet! Did you hand or machine quilt? I couldn't tell from the pictures but the quilt is lovely either way.

Thanks, It was machine quilted on a frame. I dislike the quilting process, if I hand quilted... quilts would never get finished. I've about 15 tops waiting to be quilted, and so many more in the making.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most charming. It's a beautiful quilt.
