I have made 3 quilts for them to raffle off at the last 3 open houses the local hospital resale shop.
The manager called and asked me to come in when I had time.
Talk about a wonderful surprise. She gave me a hand quilted quilt her grand mother had made. and this woman is 79 herself. No one in her family wanted it and she wanted it to go to someone who would understand its a heirloom and not just a stupid blanket.
She has no idea how old it really is but knows its over 60years old. IT is hand stitched togther and all hand quilted. The picture doesn't do it justice. I'm so excited and honor she thought of me.

What a wonderful gift. Looks like meticulous work. Can you imagine the time it took to do this. Is it muslin on the back? Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Definately not just a stupid blanket. A lot of work went into that quilt. Years ago there weren't the fancy rulers and tools that we have today and many people hand quilted back then too. Soo glad you got it and the manager was so nice to think of you who would apreciate the work that went in ot making that quilt. Enjoy, Huggies, Fay
