Default A couple fun ideas

The jeans are denim. I took a Chlorine Stick (stain removal stick) and drew my feather motifs on the jeans. I put newspaper inside of the pant leg so not to go through to the backside. I let it work until I liked the look, then rinsed in a tub of water. Then I neutralized the chlorine by using a product that was meant to condition the water for fish tanks readily available even at Walmart.

The second is my watch band. I drew the design two inches wide and my wrist measurement plus 12 inch and the overlap for the velcro long. I paper pieced right on the the quadrilled paper that I drew my pattern onto.

Very neat. I saw someone on TV using a gel bleach to write on a shirt. It stayed where they put it and made a very clear line. After seeing your jeans, I am going to look to see if I can find the gel bleach. I'm thinking you could put it any squeeze bottle. An old glue bottle or hair colour bottle? I am thinking of trying it on fabric. Your watch band is very cute too!

Love your watch band. Reminds me of the band my mother made out of elastic for me when the original band broke. Yours is much prettier, however.

Great items; I've also been thinking of a quilted watchband or bracelet.

Clever!! but i'd really like to see the pink quilt behind it all. Gorgeous feathers on that.

I saw gel bleach today at the Dollar store. It comes in a squeeze bottle. It makes me think I could decorate denim for a quilt--I have a big denim stash ready. Thank you DEB.
