Smile My Double Nine Patch Sunflower Quilt

ok I finished this one a couple of weeks back and didn't show it as I was planning on entering it in the contest here, but I can wait no longer, lol. I must share before Fall is over.

We got to spend this Fall working outside of Boston and got to enjoy the beautiful New England fall. Inspired by the changing leaves (and the cold weather, lol) , I decided to make this simple quilt. I was inspired by the beautiful sunflower fabric and decided to do these varied double nine patch blocks in batiks to set the sunflowers. I loved the whole process of making this quilt from picking the fabrics to auditioning designs to my DH, to putting the final binding stitching. What fun! It ended up being about 55x75. And so glad I made it, as it turned cold really fast up here and now I am ready to head back home to FL

Yes, that sunflower fabric has metallic in it

Thanks all for looking and hope you all are having a lovely fall season.
