Haven't tried to finish the top open edges because I don't know how! But I have a neat olive green color bias binding that I think would look nice.

Do you have bias tape or do you have actual fabric that you need to cut?

Thanks for the green vote. Bias tape, I guess...? It came in a package. I bought three $5 garbage bags full of notions and things from an older lady downsizing her home, it was in there, prepackaged.
