Like many of you I have made my share of baby or toddler quilts; some intricate, some less so. However, when I need a quick gift for a baby or a young child I always go back to this pattern. I bought the pattern at Strawberry Patches in Bakersfield, Ca. It's called Hugs and Kisses. I have made it in many combinations, using cotton, chenille, flannel and/or minkee. I'm only going to post 3 of them to give you an idea of the variations. The quilt in the first picture is almost seven years olds and has been drug all over the country and washed many, many times. Kids seem to love these quilts.

Dinos - actually made two for twins, varied the layout and used cotton and flannel

Could be a neat way to use up some children-themed fabric strips!

Quick and easy, yet it will be cuddled and loved. Great for kids, thanks for sharing.

Great!! need this "quick & easy" pattern. Is it a free pattern or where can I buy it? I like the name too "Hugs & Kisses". That's what I'm always saying to my DGC!!
