My boyfriend's grandmother (who passed away a few years ago) started on a cross stitch when he was born (ish). Last year, we found it in a photo album, mostly finished. She as re-going over the black writing to make it pop more. It even had a needle with thread it in. So the bf helped me sneak it out last year, I finished going over the letters, and framed it, and gave it to his mother for Xmas this year. She hung it in her bedroom.

In the bottom right, it shows that the pattern was printed 1973. Wow

What a nice thing to do!

It never hurts to butter up the boyfriend's mother either.

(just think of grandma angel looking down and smiling that this finally got done!)

That's exactly what I thought. I'd like to think that someday someone will finish my UFOs when I move on :)
