Default Crown Royal quilt made for my Stepson

Years ago my stepson gave his sister a box of crown royal bags and asked if she would make him a quilt. She is not a quilter so as far as she got were two sample blocks, very un-square. I started quilting February of 2011, so this past April she asked if I would help her make the quilt because we were planning a trip to visit him in May. She picked out the pattern, fabric and cut the bags and I put it all together. There were 4 special bags, different from the rest, so we had to work around them. Once I had the blocks done and put up on the wall, it looked like it needed more "Crown Royal" to it, so that's when the sashing with the words were put into it, using material from the bags for all the sashing, is just what it needed. Then used a curvy stitch along the seams for the quilting. Let me know whatcha think and thanks for looking.

I really like it but then I really like Crown Royal! I've always looked at those bags and wondered what to do with them - now I know.

Very "masculine" quilt and your DSS will love it!
