I first heard about McTavishing in my very first ever freemotion quilting class at my LQS about 2 years ago. We didn't get time to try it then, but I liked the look of it, so I ordered my first book by Karen McTavish. I got her "Custom Curves" book recently, and just yesterday, ordered the "Secrets of Elemental Quilting". I find her books and DVD's MOST helpful in getting me going on this!!!

What do I think? I think you do fabulous work. I am lucky to stitch in the ditch. I pay for someone to quilt my quilts and they are not nearly as nice as this. Do you quilt for others?

I do quilt for my daughter, but she's starting to do her own with her new machine now, and I'm going to do a horse show ribbon quilt for a friend this winter....But mostly I do this for myself and family because I enjoy it. I don't have a long arm, and don't want to feel like I need to make a profit.
