My wife and I have no children. When we purchased our house 10 years ago, it had way more room than we needed, including 4 bedrooms. We agreed that if we could use the house to bless someone, we would do it within reason. Since then we have been fortunate to have 5 college age kids live with us for varying amounts of time between 5 months and 1 year. The last boy who lived with us is a good friend whose dad pastors a wonderful church in Birmingham. He got married a year ago, and now they are expecting a girl.

We bought a FQ 12-pack of various lilac prints at Mountain Stitches by Susan in Gatlinburg earlier this year. We loved the soft look of all the purples, but had no plan for them. When we started the quilt for our "granddaughter," these FQs were an obvious choice. We used YBR, and added border, back and binding fabrics from Joann. Since we had 12 FQs, we decided to make another quilt for later. Tonight Kim bound the gift quilt and I bound the "extra." Now we're ahead for the first time in our quilting lives!

    Thanks for looking.

    Darren

Border is darker; I think it makes a nice frame.
