Remember months ago when I was collecting fabrics for this CW quilt for my husband? With Melissa's help I found websites with good selections. I tried to get an assortment of colors and print sizes. Here's how much I got done over this Christmas break--the going with be slower now, but that's fine--no deadlines with this one. :D

All the set in triangles are cut.

I'll have Mark take a look at tell me which colors he likes best and steer toward those hues for the rest of the 12 star squares...

My new machine has REALLY helped to make those points!! It makes me crazy sometimes, but I can forgive a lot for the 1/4" line on this new baby. :D

I turned the very distracting rug to black and white for you!!

    few more
And--I'm saving every triangle from the Flying geese trims--and sewing them into 2" squares. I have plans to turn them into doll quilts.

    Oh! Here's the pattern....

I rarely stick to colors a pattern suggests--but in this case, I wanted it to be a close to a reproduction as possible.

Mark says he likes the blues and reds best--so the remaining 12 will be mostly that, with at least two more greens.

I really like historical stuff. Your fabric choices are terrific. I doubt if I could purchase them, and coordinate them so nicely as you. I better start studying!

Rob--I have all the faith that you could pick colors just fine. Pretty much anything goes; it's scrappy and CW repro fabrics are already the right colors. :D I bought every one online--which was fun--but not all the colors were true on the photos. Some websites were better than others.

There are several patterns available, too. This one is pretty easy--I like those big ole triangle squares. Hubby picked it. He's a CW NUT--that's all he reads about. He's never been interested in having a quilt to call his own, until I brought up this whole CW idea. I learned about it here, as I did half of what I know.
