Dahlias Cushion Tips
#1
These are my second attempt at Dahlia Cushions.
I cut the strips the same as last time 6 x 3 1/2 folding over the 1/2 inch for a neater finish.
Just a tip to stop the "petals" flipping out when finished might I suggest a few small stitches at the bottom of the fold on each "petal" also to make the block more secure I did a row of top stitching about 1/2 an inch from the last fold through all thicknesses, this way they will stand up better to laundering and general wear.
They are to be auctioned at a fundraiser next Saturday for Ovarian Cancer Research, hope they go to a good home.
