Default Dancing with the stars finished!

I took a class from Linda Ballard at our quilt guild last spring with the pattern Dancing with the Stars. It uses a tri recs ruler. I call it Emerald City. I machine quilted it on my Janome, and actually pierced my finger with the needle. I saw in other posts that it was possible, but could not believe it until I did my own. I had to phone my husband (who was downstairs and couldn't hear me holler) to come and unscrew the needle. Only got one small drop of blood on the quilt but managed to get it out with a bleach pen.

It is gorgeous!

Knock on wood, I've not run a needle through my finger, cut myself with a rotary cutter or brought other sewing mayhem down upon myself as of yet.

I wear grippy gloves when fmq and I have quilted a glove to my top. I laughed so hard at myself that I sacred the dogs.
I love that pattern and your work is just lovely!
