My daughter's grandpa bought a doll the day she was born and it was named Danielle. He gave it to her for her 13th birthday. He passed away a couple of years ago but she cherishes that doll. She is now 21 and I made her this little quilt for it to sit on. The colors in the quilt match the dress that the doll is wearing. Just thought I would share it with you.

That is so special! She is going to cherish both for years to come. I believe that because get this: I still have the baby doll my Grandpa bought me when I was born - 50 years ago! I also have a doll quilt my Mom made me for my baby doll. They are both going into my "new to me" curio cabinet in my sewing room, along with my late Mom's baby doll. Precious.

I love this little quilt!! Did you use a miniature version of a double pinwheel quilt square or did you just cut down the size of a full version. I would love to make this pattern for my granddaughter's doll.
