Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention that the larger rectangles are cut from 5" charm squares that I won for completing the local shop hop last June.

So this was a very cheap quilt to make. The charms were free, the green leftovers from another project. All I bought was the sashing and border fabric. 1 1/4 yd at $4.99 and I used my Joann's 40% off coupon! I do need to buy the backing and batting but that will come later. Probably with coupons. Or if I wait til my trip to my moms in April she will probably buy me more batting. I love my mom :wink:

And the reason I called it Darcy's pick is because my DD Darcy picked out the pink I used for the sashing and borders.

Great job! Very brave to do without a pattern. I have found that it is good to get out of our comfort zones and stretch our skills.

Most of mine don't have a pattern either. It feels good to throw CAUTION TO THE WIND!
