Default "Dark Ice" is Finished

I was getting a bit tired of stitching all those stars. There are quite a few of them. It came out okay though. I am happy with the results. It is 60 x 60 inches and is the Boxed Squares pattern that I am so fond of. The back is pieced, and also blue. It is ready to be a Christmas present for Jim’s youngest brother Chris. Here it is in a full view, and a close up of some of the stars.

Wow, that's impressive! I love that it's such a subtle but special detail.

Great quilt and quilting! The stars look hand quilted? That would be a lot of work!

Did you quilt this by hand? It looks like it and I really like the quilting.

Oh, I knew I forgot to tell you something.....yes, it is hand quilted. It took quite a while, but it was worth the effort. I have thought of professionals many times, but can never afford it. And when I do it myself there is a lot of satisfaction.
