Here is the title quilt for my little dogs book. This is an older quilt and I wanted to make the quilt bright so I made the doggies out of unnatural colors. It was after I made this quilt that I thought up the idea of putting bandanas on them to give them color (as in the big dog quilt). I think if I had it to do all over again, I might give them all colorful doggie sweaters and make the dogs out of natural colors. But oh, well. It is what it is :-)

Once again, from a hard core non-dog person, I have to say it's ADORABLE. Completely and totally charming.

    I can't believe I wrote that. ;-)

LOL!! Actually, I understand. I am not a dog person either (I can't believe I wrote that!!) BUT. I think all animals are beautiful, and love to draw, and sew! :-)

Really? Because I took one look at the quilt and thought immediately that it was made by a dog lover - you know the kind whose whole life revolves around the critter. ;-)

Anyway, aside from the whole cuteness factor, the concept is just wonderfully executed.

The setting, the colors, the diamonds at the block intersections, the checkerboard background, the black thread for the blanket stitch.

It is successful on EVERY level.

Nope. I don't even have a dog :-) I don't have anything against them, I just appreciate other people's dogs.

I'm not a Dog lover either(CATS for me), but this is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the originality of it(different colored dogs) and fabrics used for them!

I like it just the way it is. I think with the sweaters, it would take away from the details of the dogs. Very cute.
