Day one and day 10 206 pieces later

I have started a monster. wanting a 62 inch x 62 inch snuggle couch quilt for myself. Found this on an avitar and liked it.. the example was a beautiful blue. I am using fussy cuts on scraps. 206 pieces later and now where near the size ! 21 x 19 and irregular shape at that ! I need encouragement !!

All "sides" of diamonds and hexagons are one inch.

    Day one and Day 10.

Hand sewn, right? It's beautiful and doesn't look wonky. I've never dared tackle this type of project. My daughter is sewing hexagons by hand and is enjoying it. I hope you keep at it until you finish. I also like how you showed your day one/day ten progress. I'll watch for your day 20!

That is really pretty! It looks like a Rolling Star. I have made Rolling Stars before. Fun to do, but sometimes challenging. You are doing a great job with this one, and cannot wait until you finish.

You go girl. Your colors and hand piecing are beautiful. Your finished quilt will be awesome. I am looking forward to seeing it.

I've been down a long road of not feeling great. One of the first stages was that it hurt terribly to lift my arms. I thought my days of quilting were over. But I can be stubborn too. So I decided to hand join baby blocks (another Y seam) I also hand quilted it. The years have changed my moans and groans, but I've stopped telling myself I can't do it. It may take longer, but I know we can both do it!
