    On the first quilt, is ALL of the material denim??? What did you back the quilt with??

    No, half the log cabin is cotton & the other half is denim. I backed it with purchased denim material.

    I wasn't sure this would work because of the difference in denim and cotton. So I used really cheap material the first time I tried it. I washed the fabric first and then washed the quilt when I was done to make sure it would hold up. It was just fine. If you use all denim you don't have to use batting, but when you add cotton it just makes a better feel. But it is definitely heavy!
