I have an agreement with a local thrift store to pick up their unwanted donated jeans. Maybe one leg has paint on it, or has a hole, or the hems are raggedy from being walked on. They call me when their box gets full, and I get a substantial amount of usable leg parts. From now on, I'll keep an eye out for yokes.

LOL. "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Or something like that. I have a pile of old jeans I've been waiting to do something with for years. Now I know what I want to do and thanks to your pictures and description, I know how. Your skirts are very cute. Thank you!

Thanks Deb, for explaining how to do this! I want to try and make them for my DGGs. Years ago, we made jean skirts by opening the inseam of a pair of jeans and then filling in the v-shaped gap in front and back, with denim crazy patchwork. It was cute, but did not hang as well as yours do!

Great idea... don't think I've worn a skirt in years, but yours are great!
