My DGS Joey is 12. He has been fascinated with my EQ ever since I got it several years ago. He has played on it alot and we have talked about designs. He has been playing with the EQ and I am really impressed with his sense of color and contrast. He has a good sense of balance and proportion and symmetry.

Thought I would share some of the best of his designs. He has designed 163 quilts already!

Hope you enjoy looking at them. We may have a promising quilt designer!

This is my budding designer Joey holding his new cousin Colton

Some of his designs are abit busy! LOL We need to discuss toning them down a bit. But he is playing with EQ and it allows him to put together elements of a quilt that may not work well when actually piecing it. So we have work to do on his designs but I am hopeful he will stick with it awhile. I told him I will work with his designs and see if we can maybe put together something we can offer as patterns. Time will tell whether I can turn them into actual patterns or not. I am not that experienced at some of the elements he likes in these designs!!

He did do one that I thought would be a great table runner.

Great work. I agree some are a bit busy but very creative. I love the table runner as well.

So original. There is a great deal of movement in his designs. Nice picture in your family you have two graphic designers.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
