Default DGS's Muscle Cars Quilt

Someone here was interested in the Muscle Car quilt that I made for my teen-age DGS. When I asked what type of quilt he would like, this was his request. I found the car fabric on-line and showed it to him and he liked it. I used a 12.5 pieced block of black and the small accent colors form All People Quilt and then cut 12.5 blocks of the cars. I wanted to preserve as much of the big cars as possible. It has a charcoal tweed flannel backing. Approximately 70 x 70. I also made a similar quilt for DS only using Nascar fabric in place of the muscle cars.

Wow! I love how you where able to use the big pictures so you can see so many of the cars! I really like the floating small blocks too!

Oh thank you for putting this on here. I just got a call last week for a car quilt. I am thinking about how to do the other squares and this gives me ideas. Thank you.

What a great idea! I've seen that fabric but the cars are rather large scale and I was never sure what to do with it. Good job!
