ruth, thanks for the link to the 60 inch star string quilt. after working with strings for 2 quilts in a row, that star made me have to sit down and put a cool cloth on my forehead. :shock: maybe later :wink:

I am with the bunch--the 100%--who say it's stunning. The black really sets those blocks off. applause!!!

yes, it is pretty much all bias. that is one reason i put the black outline. but i am handling it very gingerly til it is finished. the original was an antique i found on line and it was pretty crooked. but very interesting. i couldn't resist giving it a try.
