I'm rearranging my sewing space and getting everything organized. I had an idea for shelf and thought I would share it with everyone. I took a remnant of home dec fabric and put it on the back of an old backless shelf that I had painted white. Then I bought some canning jars from Wal-Mart like my grandmother used to use for strawberry jam. They have a quilted pattern pressed into the glass. I filled these jars up with my small notions (measuring tape/straight pins/safefy pins/sewing machine needles/oversized buttons etc.). I think the end result looks great and keeps stuff handy.

My 8yr old daughter saw it and had to have one for her room and so I put one up in her room for her nick nacks. It was easy!

What a great idea. Cute and we all need ways to store those small items.

Those are really neat!! Great idea! :D

If you want tons of ideas, check out the link Sondray posted in the Links section here.

Scroll down to the bottom right, and you'll see two links for 'Sewing Rooms'.

I spent literally hours & hours there.... Sigh..... lol!!!
Some are of more professional studios, but a lot are of the average quilter/sewer.
