Have you ever made a quilt block that was different than the pattern? I have and just did for the umpteenth time. Take a look and see if you can see it.

I join all my "mistake" blocks for a "Mystery Quilt"

I don't rip unless absolutely necessary.

12 inch Log Cabin

That's a great idea, no one will ever know. My pot holders get washed so much that they go out of shape anyway.

LOL.. yep..

a quilt is a quilt.. mystery or not....

there are NO mistakes.... it's the way I designed it... ( right after I figure out I put the wrong one in!)

Aren't you Clever!!! I throw mine into my scrap bin. Yours is a Much more Fun alternative.

I took a bunch of "ugly" blocks once and made an ugly quilt. It actually didn't turn out too bad, I liked it. They were mostly blocks done when I was just learning and the colors used and color combos were mostly what I objected to.
