    I was thinking nautical while looking at it too! Was expecting to see some boats and lighthouses near the bottom. lol. Love the graphics and bold statement! Excellent!!

    Thanks for the nice feedback. I'm not sure I could do a tutorial but here is the description of how I did it. Its 3 colors of 5"strips sewn into differently ordered 3 piece strips and cut into blocks. Then I did an X cut on each block and rearranged the pieces until I was happy with the layout. It wasn't quite as wide as I wanted so I did the narrow pieced sashing. I like it too and will probably do a similar one again some time. Next time I will cut the blocks and the sashing strips at the same time because the math on the sashing was impossible to figure our after the fact! LOL

    Most of the charity quilts that come in to the hospice are feminine and I've been trying to do some that feel a little more masculine in both fabric and pattern.
