Thanks for the encouraging comments, everyone!

Sometimes I feel like such a noob, it's good to feel a bit of a boost, you know? lol!

Very contemporary. I love your colors and the boldness of the quilt. It makes a dramatic statement and will look nice on a bed.

 I know after all the stuff that has been put out there that this may sound stupid, but what is a disappearing 9 patch? :?: :?: :?:

Marilyn, don't even think about being embarrassed. I had to ask the same question when I joined the board. There are some very good tutorials that you can go to, but I don't have the computer savvy to send you to it. Maybe one of the kind members would do that. Or you can go to my bookmarks and get it from there. Right people? That's what embarrasess me -- my inability to navigate on this 'puter. Most of the time I google what I want to find. lol

Marilyn--Your question is not stupid at all. Asking questions is how we all learn. A disappearing nine patch is simply a nine patch block that you cut into fourths and then move the pieces around and sew them back together. Here is a simple tutorial to illustrate. Once you "get it" it is SOOO easy (and it took me a while to figure it out too!!) Have fun with it!!

Marcia and GailG - many thanks for your response to my inquiry on the disappearing nine patch. With Marcia's URL I could see the pictures and see just how easy it is.
