Default Disappearing Hourglass in purples & reds

Hello, just shipped this quilt down to a little elderly lady whose health is shaky so thought this oversized lap quilt would pert her up a little. Purple is her favorite color so got that right as I didn't know ahead of time. I decided to make the white sections with the 4 triangles coming together as the block instead of the actual block. Quilted using sashing/border patterns around the "new block" in pale mint green with added purple and red quilting in the borders. Went together rather well. Trying to take photos in our windy weather yesterday was a challenge but got it done. Hope you like it.

Super quilting job, and I love the design. Initially, I saw red white and blue, so when you said "purple", I had to look again. It's beautiful.

Beautiful quilt and quilting. I love how you put the quilt together too, with the alternative setting. The disappearing hourglass is on my list of quilts to make, since it makes such a lovely design.

Fabulous quilt and quilting. I made this pattern before and because of how beautiful yours came out I plan on making another.
