Really beautiful quilt! I watched this video, too, thanks to someone who posted the link, and now I can't wait to make some of these blocks. I've had another pattern in mind as my next project but this one has seduced me so I think it will be next. It's such a clever quick way to make a block.....and a great looking quilt! Yours is gorgeous, as I said.

A quilter in my guild figured that out. I did it with bias edges. You just have to be careful and not stretch the edges. Doing it the other way you can come up with a size that evenly divides for the cross-cutting instead of an odd fraction that makes it a little difficult to get all the cut up squares the same. I started with 12 1/2" sqs and came out with 15 1/4" unfinished. The video starts with 10" sqs.

I really like your quilt. I think I like it better matching than the scrappy ones I have seen. I am going to have to try this when I get my blocks made for the boom swap.
