Default Do these fabrics work together?

I want to donate a block or two to Quilting for Boston. They've asked for blocks using blue, yellow, grey and white and this is what I have available. I don't trust my eye -- do these fabrics work? I was thinking of something similar to a log cabin block (adjusted because I don't have that many different fabrics) I was thinking the yellow in the middle with the greys and blues surrounding.

yellow in the center and creams on one side and blues on the other.. what size block do you have to make?
You might need more fabrics

It needs to be 12 inches tall; can be any width but probably I will make it square. I'm now thinking of a zig-zag block.

If you have a dark brown I'd add that to the mix for more contrast.
