Default Do you remember my practice Blue Bargello?

WAY BACK in July of 2011 I posted a lap quilt top called My Practice Bargello. BTW: It's my own design. Part of my desire was that it be a little unpredictable, so if you look closely, you can see that it is not symmetrical.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t138930.html

Last month I completed the quilting (SID - bored me to death, but I did it), bound it, washed it, and have been using it as an extra cover at night. It is warmer than our Waverly comforter!

It is called 'my practice bargello' because 1. it was my first bargello and 2. I couldn't find a purpose for the fabrics I used and figured I'd practice with them. Come to find out that every time I look at this small quilt, I can't help but say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I pick it up and hug it and twirl it around and then smooth it back onto the bed.

Anybody else ever do that?

Here it is as a finished project:

PS: It's too small to share at night, so hubby has to use the Waverly comforter until I can make a full sized quilt for this California King waterbed.

Love how that came out! Isn't it fun to play with designing as you go? Some of my favorites have been the ones I played by ear and watched what happened as I went along.

Oh wow, that is nice! I don't usually care much for bargellos but I might just have to change my mind... :-)
