My daughter really likes these sugar skulls. She would have loved to see your show. Great job.

Very cool. Could you post some info on the DOD? It is my understanding that it is a celebration of ancestors?

Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is celebrated every year in late fall. It is a day of remembrance and is very happy. Families go to cemeteries and paint and clean up and put flowers. Some stay all night as a vigil and recall memories of loved ones. In homes, altars are put up with bright yellow and orange flowers and pictures of dearly departed. I always put one up with pictures of my mom and mom in law. I tell my grandkids about my mom and things we did and things she said. It is a nice way to remember the wonderful people we had in our lives. We had a great celebration on this last one with the art show. We had home-made tamales and wore beautiful Mexican costumes and admired each other work. It was a terrific day to look at old photographs and laugh at old stories.

Wow what great quilts, wall hangings etc. A lot of work went into those. Thanks for explaining what Day of the Dead means.
