I don't have one and can't say that I know what it is used for. Do you use it while hand quilting?

I have one I got on ebay, Joanns also sells them, you can get 40 percent off if you time it right! I haven't used mine yet but am positive I will like it cause I do not have room for a traditional frame or a longarm frame.

My handquilting (See my avatar) has been done using a plain large embroidery hoop--not even a quilting hoop.

I have one....usually every winter I make a hand quilting project.....set the quilt frame up in the family room and quilt to my hearts desire....it's a pretty good frame but unnecessary unless you plan on as long-term hand quilting career.

My church uses these frames to tie quilts, not hand quilt them. They are light weight, easy to take up a down and just the right size for limited space.

You do not use them on a sewing machine.

Hope this information is helpful.

nope, don't have one at all. No desire for one, I use a larger quilting hoop for hand quilting.

I also use a large hoop for hand quilting ... suppose it is just a matter of comfort.
