I am making a quilt for my daughter for Christmas. I am afraid it is too much on the flowers. It now calls for a 3 inch border of which I am using the flower fabric on. ? is do I need to add a small say 1 inch inner border of orange which is going to be the backing and binding also, to give it punch? Help Please. Pat
P.S. Hope the pictures come up as I have never tried to put one in.

I used this color, because she likes orange. Do you think it is Ugly? Honest opinions please

I would audition a different color like green or cream before deciding on the orange, but a narrow inner border of any color would frame the quilt nicely.

Second the orange border! I love orange too. It is a pretty quilt and she will love it.

I think it's lovely. As it is, with the floral border, it has a nice soft look. If you want to punched it up a bit, add the orange strip before the floral border. Either one will make a lovely quilt, it just depends what "look" you're going for.

Where did you find the daughter blocks? Would love to make one for each of my daughters.

I agree, the border of orange will frame it beautifully.

www.Clotilde.com is where I found the daughter blocks. Actually found a block locally back in Feb. Then found them on their site.

I like the small border of solid orange followed by the larger border of flowers also, but I think Paper Princess has a good idea that you ought to try.
