Default Doing the sandwichy thingy...

I just thought I would share these unusual pictures. I put together this quilt top (will post it when quilted and bound) and was dreading doing the ‘sandwichy thingy’. Inspiration came while I was on my walk this morning. When I got home, I asked DH to help me move my 2 folding cutting tables to the back porch. They are on wheels and easy to roll around. I put them side by side and laid my quilt out and had it sandwiched and pinned in about an hour and a half! The humming birds ignored me and so did the butterflies, but I sure enjoyed them! It was sticky hot but I had a fan and I always enjoy being outdoors so it was a win-win situation!

You have the perfect setup for the sandwich.....I have to go to my church to use the tables there. Thanks for sharing
your solution.

Great idea and especially before winter starts in again! I would love to find a good used Ping-Pong table to use as my sandwich thingy!

Great idea. Can't wait to see the quilting. I only have one cutting table for sandwiching, but found that 4 bed risers under one of my lower tables moved it up to the same height as my cutting table, viola, lots of room for sandwiching. Makes all that pinning much easier on the back.

I've lost the strength in my hands to use grippy things like in your photos. Good for you. Lots of pins do the trick!!
