Love the quilt!

Love the machine!!! Is that a 401..........my mom has a 401 and my daughter got one from a man in Florida. He repairs old machines like that and has lots of old parts.

I will look for his e-mail address and send it to you.

Your quilts are always so cool!

I love the machine. I have an old Brother that I just had repaired. The case was no good, but the machine is in excellent shape. So that is what I am going to be doing all my sewing on from now on. Those old machines were made so much better than the cheapie ones nowadays.

That is a great quilt.

Funny you should post that sewing machine. Last week I went to get Grandmas sewing machines (she passed away on Easter) and today I finished cleaning all the grime and years of tabacco smoke off it. It looks identical to yours. I've not yet tried it. But, am planning to soon!

I'm sorry about the loss of your Grandma. Even when we know it's gonna happen, it's still hard. You keep thinking of things you want to ask them.

Seriously, mamabird, after you hand turn the wheel a few times, you should probably have your 'new' machine professionally tuned up! Probably hasn't seen the inside of a sewing machine workshop in YEARS!

Beautiful quilt!!! I keep looking at it trying to figure out where one star ends and the other begins.

And I love the sewchine. Look at that huge throat!

This looks identical to my machine. Mine is the singer 403a. It was manufactured in 1951.
