Default Dora

After searching for the fabrics....and needing a break from making quilts, I started a McKenna Ryan wall hanging...thought I would post what I have been able to accomplish on the past 2 weekends. To QB member Michelleoc , a great big thank-you. My Mom who passed away at the young age of 73 had a cat just like the one in the pattern. As I make this pattern I think of her often and the fun times she had with her fur babies.
Two more flowers to make then it will be time for appliquéing and quilting.
This is a very relaxing project to do, cutting out the applique pieces, while watching a movie.

Oh I love this so far. The fabrics are perfect. Are they a kit or did you pick them out? Either way this is going to be a wonderful wallhanging. My condolences on your mom.

Thank-you. I picked them out myself at the recent Road 2 California quilt show. Used a bit of artistic license with the colors.

Well you did an amazing bang up job! They are perfect. Especially the sunflowers! I think the designer wouldn't have done any better. Can't wait to see this finished.

So sorry to hear about mom. Mine also passed suddenly at 73 young. It's been15 yrs and still seems like yesterday. What a wonderful way to remember her by. Her fur baby. You are doing an exceptional job. Please post when finished.
