I had made my daughter in law a apron and pot holder for her birthday in march. She loved it. But here is the twist. She had hip replacement surgery last week and is using the pot holder as a walker accessory to hold the things she needs when she gets across the room. She asked for me to make her another one. But a little wider to hold more. So yesterday this is what I whipped up.

I had some UFO PP blocks stitting around from a very old project and decided to add them in to the pockets. What do you all think? You likey?

ps) The last pic is the infamous table placemats finished.

love the double ended potholder - good to hear it's got a "double life" ha ha. Perhaps you can market those to the orthopaedic crowd!! By the way, did you need my addy for the placemats??

Thanks girls ... It just tickles me to think these old blocks could look so good on this potholder. I have four more to do something with.

I had sent her a huge basket from Wine Country Baskets. It had a breakfast tray in the basket that I thought would be useful for someone coming out of surgery. I love that basket company, they are so reasonable and have nice contents. Not like some companies that put junk in them. Great for last minute gifts.
