Dresden plate block

I totally agree. The pink/red boarder is fine in color but in my opinion it is to wide and needs to be blended with one of the other prints in the quilt.

Two fine quilts. I especially love the Dresden. Whether the border on the second is too wide depends on what you do with it. I like to use wide borders to show off feathers or vines. If you are just doing an all over pattern, it may be too wide. Ultimately, however, you are the one who needs to be pleased with your quilt.

The first one, the colors aren't my taste, but I love dresden plate blocks. The look like flowers to me. I like the second one. I'm not sure if it's red or pink you used, but it is cool.
if life is a bowel of cherries, then what am I doing in the pits? LOL
