Ok, to give you some background I wanted to practice using my HQ16 and practice making feathers. I purchased a whole cloth DWR pattern, because I was excited to get started and didn't have anything already pieced together. I know that my feathers got better by the end o fthe quilt, and it's just for my own use (unless DD comes to claim it as she threatens to).

Yes, just learning feathers, so I am sure if I practice more and more, then they will improve. Thanks for the compliments, if I weren't so impatient to get back to using the HQ I would have taken the time to piece the top, but I just got the machine in Nov. and can't wait to get home every night and play on her. Its so hard to get any piecing done when I want to do nothing but quilt. I am sure it will all settle down and even out after a while.
