Default Eagle Scout Gift

A couple of years ago when my husband was a Scout Leader had me order some BoyScout fabric. "You can make the boys a quilt when they earn their Eagle," he said. He's not the leader anymore, but one of the boys finely earned his Eagle Scout Award. I had been away and feared I would miss making the quilt but was able to get home a week before the award ceremony. I did the free motion quilting as well. I'm not really good at it, but I am free lol. One pic shows the border where I tried to sew/write scout words, it really does say "thrifty". The first pics are of the fabric, the next are close-ups of some blocks, lastly are the Scout with his quilt...hot off my machine-literally... It finished at approximately 68"x78" and was VERY well received.

Wonderful quilt to remind him of the honor of Eagle scout!! Two of my boys are Eagle scouts. It is a big thing for the boys to earn. It takes dedicated leaders and parents to help them along but in turn the boys will lend a hand to other boys so they too can be Eagles. Great job!!!
