Default Easiest Flying Geese.

I love FG!! When I first started making quilts, I didn't know how to make them or what they were called. I had a large amount of 4-inch squares. Using patterned fabric, and alternating with White or Yellow, Cut them on the diagonal, and just sewed them together! Here is a photo of my one of my first quilts, which is still used every day by my Son. So you can see how they turned out. I still use this method, is so simple, and don't have to fool around with fractions, or cutting different size squares. I hope this might help someone.

Looks great. Best not to over think things. This proves it.

I love FG but don't have patience to make a quilt. Can hardly think of a better scrappy quilt pattern than FG.

Your method is a good one for FG. Better get the quilt back to your son so he can sleep under it. I like to see my quilts used and loved.

I've been trying to upload a photo, can't seem to do it, but will retake photo and send. I also do my pinwheels the same way. Will try to upload one of those also. Thank you guys for asking for full. The center square is a Pineapple that I planned to make a table runner with. Son saw it and asked it to be put into a quilt for him. The quilt is years and years old, at least 7.. one of my first. Son wraps it around himself every morning also and goes outside to smoke. So it doubles in use, night and day. I can't tell you how many times its been washed...at least once a week these years. Its faded some but not a lot considering how many times its been washed. I warned DIL, not to use Chlorox, or Dryer Sheets, she has complied, think thats one of the reasons its held up so well.
