Here is my latest baby quilt. I got the idea from Fons and Porter's baby Quilts magazine, Fall 2010. I used the What a Hoot quilt as my inspiration, but the mother likes elephants. Fabric mostly came from my Walmart, with a few pieces from Hobby Lobby and Crate and Barrel. It is machine pieced and quilted with some hand quilting for contrast. One thing I wished I'd done different is not use fusible for the center elephant. I find that it is stiff, even after washing.

I have that fabric - lady ahead of me at JoAnn's was getting some. I saw it and told the clerk not to put it away just yet. It is such cute fabric and your quilt is precious.
