Great Job!!!
I'm not familiar with Carolyn Cullinan McCormick. Have done lots of Carol Doak's stars. I think paper piecing is the ONLY way to go for anything that is pointy.

This quilt design came from her book No Stress Paper piecing and it comes with a CD for the foundations--fabric cutting is laid out for cotton and flanelette. It is available at www.chapters.ca and amazon.com She designed the add a quarter ruler!!
The sides are not as long as I would have normally done them--I can still add to them if it drives me crazy!!!

tricky, I love the new quilt! The colors look beeeuuuuteeeful! I'm almost through with 2 current quilts and I can't wait to get back to try more than just the 1 paper pieced block. You really inspired me with the paper piecing thing, its tons of fun :D

that's absolutely beautiful and sure doesn't show any screw up. And I love the paper piecing too, it's so easy and fool proof since i'm a new quilter too. here's one i did called the pineapple, and am working on another one just like it only different colors. love this site and all the hints & tips. a good place to order paper piecing patterns is
