I took a class from Zena Thorpe on embellished letters. Using her techniques, I created this hand appliqued wall hanging. Then I used by Bernina 730 embroidery machine to add butterflies, humming birds, and stitchwork in the border.

What a lovely way to combine hand work with machine embroidery.

Sorry, you are too late. I gave it to my Nephew and his wife. They have it hanging on a wall that is painted almost fuschia color. It really looks nice there and they are delighted to have their Aunt's handiwork.

I know they love it. My nieces and nephews (32 of them!) love it when I give something made with love!
