Default Estate Find

I'm now a proud owner of a 1941 Singer 15-41. I have plugged her in and she runs smooth; although, she needs a good cleaning and oiling. I think that I have all the original attachments and the buttonhole foot. The light works and the electrical cord is in very good shape for being seventy years old.

Great find. Enjoy.
Let me share my story of a free machine in a cabinet. My hubby and I were out yard sailing. We found a sewing machine in a cabinet and a free Iron bed, The owners helped us put it in the van as we both had had surgery and could not lift it.
We went home but had to return to our cottage to do some things so we left the van home and took his truck. I aked the 2 grandsons to please put the sewing machine in the house and the bed frame in the garden.
I asked a few times if the oldest had done it and each time a got a Oh I forgot. Finally he was at the house and I asked if they could bring it in. It took a long time, he called me back and said he was sorry but they could not find the machine. Then I heard his brother say,: the only thing we can find is an end table. We all had a good laugh. My other machines ar portable and they had never seen one in a cabinet. The oldest one had looked for it but was afraid someone had stolen it and did not want to tell me. LOL

Fabulous find! I have a 15-91 Centennial -- she's exactly the same age as I am! I also have her original cabinet and stool -- different from yours. You will love this machine! She will sew through anything that fits under the presser foot.

Looks like a fine machine; but I am even more impressed with the styling of those legs on the cabinet and stool. Very pretty.
