IMHO I may be in the minority here. Walmart is the closest store to us, just one mile away, but I rarely shop there. Our Walmart is recently reopened and it's new and clean and huge, but the staff is not interested in working or in customers.

And I'm not a big fan of Walmart fabric. I would rather shop at quilt shops, or online for quilt shop quality fabric from Hancock's, Thousands of Bolts,or eQuilter.

I'm glad but a lot of people think that "walmart fabric" isn't worth using.

As for me--I had my husband buy enough Walmart running wolves fabric so that I can sell it when it is vintage (and still beautiful!) :)

And I wanted to add that I know that SOME of the stuff on the tables at Walmart wasn't worth buying, but the stuff that was actually sold as quilting fabric was fine--doesn't shrink unnecessarily, has a decent hand, etc. It isn't like the "really fine" stuff, but honestly...it looks good in a quilt. And I also have seen some of the $4-5/yard stuff selling elsewhere for quite a bit more.

Thanks for sharing. I seldom buy fabric at WM, but I like to look at it and know it's there if I need it.
